About
The person behind the itinerary.
A little context on who I am, how I got here, and why I think about travel the way I do.
A Fora Travel Advisor
Fora is one of the most respected travel advisor networks in the industry — giving independent advisors like me access to preferred partner rates, amenity upgrades, and supplier relationships that individual travelers can't replicate on their own.
The Background
I came to travel through a different door.
I spent the better part of a decade working in maritime operations — the kind of work that puts you on vessels in remote waters, managing logistics in places that don't have a lot of margin for error. It wasn't glamorous, but it taught me how to think clearly under pressure, how to plan for the unexpected, and how to move through unfamiliar environments with some degree of confidence.
That work also took me to corners of the world I wouldn't have found any other way. Not as a tourist — as someone who had a job to do and had to figure out the place in the process. That's a different kind of travel education, and I think it shaped the way I approach trip planning in ways that are hard to replicate from behind a desk.
The pivot to travel advising wasn't a sudden decision. It was a slow realization that the thing I was most useful to people for — in my personal life, at least — was helping them think through trips. Where to go, how to structure it, what was actually worth the money and what wasn't. I kept doing it informally until it made more sense to do it properly.
How I Work
A few things I actually believe about travel.
01
Depth over breadth.
A trip that tries to cover six countries in ten days is usually a trip that covers none of them well. I push back on itineraries that are more about ticking boxes than actually being somewhere.
02
Honest over optimistic.
If a destination has a difficult season, a property has a known issue, or a particular experience is overrated relative to its cost — I'll tell you. My job is to help you make a good decision, not to close a sale.
03
The logistics are the product.
Most people underestimate how much of a trip's quality comes down to the invisible stuff — the right transfer, the correct room category, the timing of a particular activity. That's where I spend most of my time.
04
Fora gives me reach I couldn't have alone.
Working under Fora means access to preferred partner rates, amenity upgrades, and supplier relationships that independent travelers simply can't replicate. It's a meaningful advantage, and I use it.
If that sounds like the kind of advisor you're looking for —
A discovery call is 30 minutes. Tell me where you want to go, or where you've always wanted to go but haven't figured out how. I'll take it from there.
